History of COVID Relief Funds

澳门新葡京博彩 was the recipient of nearly $18 million in federal COVID relief funds to be invested in addressing emergency aid for Polk State students who have been impacted by the effects of the COVID-19 public health emergency.

These funds were allocated to the College as part of the Coronavirus 援助, Relief, Economic Security 行为 (在乎), Coronavirus Response 和 Relief Supplemental Appropriations 行为 (CRRSAA), American Rescue Plan (ARP), are grouped under the heading of Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF).

As of March 31, 2024:

  • Polk State received $17,951,494 in 在乎, CRRSA, ARP funding for distribution to students.
  • Polk State has an estimated 4,000 students who are eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education 行为 of 1965; thus, these individuals are also eligible to receive Emergency 金融援助 Grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the 在乎 行为.
  • All funding has been distributed as emergency grants or to cover tuition, 书, 或者其他学生资助.
  • Students received information about the 在乎, CRRSAA, 和 ARP Emergency Grant through email, phone contacts, the College’s 在乎 行为 web page, 波尔克.edu/cares, through notifications in the College’s learning management system, Canvas.
